I’m rather proud of this one!
It was made in 2007, with my very good friend “Nuclear” (John Tsiombikas) at the time we were both working in Track7. We felt somehow depressed because we had a ton of tools, engines and the like but lacked the artistic skills to produce something noteworthy.
Then a miracle happened!
We just had to ask. When we told our colleagues (2d/3d artists) abou it, they gave us a demo’s worth of artistic material. In a matter of minutes!
So John got to use his new “spline tool” and I got together my new “tunnel effect” and implemented “marching tetrahedra” for the metaballs. A patent free algorithm – in your face marching cubes!
